Harriett Annette Freeman passed away on October 16, 2019 following an extended illness. Harriett was born on October 31, 1936. She retired from Flat Rock Junior High School after many years of service. She loved working with children and was very talented at sewing, crafts and making toys and games for her grandchildren. Her God given talent was art. Her paintings were loved by not only her family but many in the community.
She was the daughter of John Lewis McCall and Hazel Gertrude Shroat. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters, Petie Armstrong and Marsha Henderson.
She is survived by her husband, whom she married on June 5, 1954, Jack Roland Freeman, 2 sons, Chuck Freeman, Sr. and Tony Freeman and wife, Karen, 4 grandchildren, Brooke Laughter (Frankie), Chuck Freeman, Jr. (Kelsye), Dustin Freeman and Samantha Rolen (Zack), 4 great-grandchildren, Payton Laughter, Kassidy Freeman, Kinslee Freeman and Zack Rolen, III and another great-grandchild to arrive in April 2020. 1 sister Trudy McCarson and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00 Saturday October 19, 2019 at Shuler Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Shepherd Memorial Park immediately following the service.
