Harold (Hal) Jack Cantor, 89, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away with his loving wife, Betsy, by his side. Born in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Isadore and Constance Cantor; he is also predeceased by a son and daughter.
After graduating, from High School, Hal volunteered to serve in the U.S. Army. Upon returning, Hal earned a Bachelor’s Degree and then pursued a career as a Social Security Administrator. Hendersonville was Hal’s final home, but Hal had lived in Columbia, Maryland; Cleveland, Ohio; New Haven, Connecticut; and Seattle, Washington.
Left to cherish Hal’s memory are his loving wife, Elizabeth “Betsy” Cantor; daughter Toby Cantor of Glen Burnie, Maryland; son Paul Cantor of Tucson, Arizona; and two grandchildren Taylor Harsthorn and Tory Schuster.

I was privileged to have Hal as my next door neighbor and friend in his final years. We shared a few nice Holidays and many laughs. RIP Hal. You will be missed.
