Gloria Whiting Glaab, age 95, of Hendersonville, NC died early Thursday morning, May 2, 2019 after a brief illness.

Mrs. Glaab was born on Friday, November 9, 1923 to the late Harold M. and Mary (Hagerman) Whiting. GG as she was affectionately known by her family was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was faithful to her beliefs of the Christian faith.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her two children, Mary Lynn Williams of Pensacola, FL and Harold G. Turcq and his wife, Elaine of Hendersonville, NC. Also surviving are her four grandchildren, Jeremy Bosco and his wife, Brenda, Tara Clamp and her husband, Cory, Julie Stoner and her husband, Jamie and Burl James Williams and his wife Rebecca; thirteen great-grandchildren, Braden, Jasely, Holland, Alexana, Katie, Connor, Elyssa, Lance, Matthew, Hunter, Thomas, Christina and Samantha.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her four brothers and sisters.

There will be a graveside service to celebrate Mrs. Glaab’s life, 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, May 6, 2019 in the historic Oakdale City Cemetery in Hendersonville, NC. All are invited.

Memorial contributions may be offered on behalf of Mrs. Glaab’s life to the Elizabeth House, 581 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC, 28731.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and many caregivers at the Elizabeth House. Mother would have been very pleased. Thank you!

GG will be forever missed by her loving and devoted family and many dear friends.
