Gary Vernon Dills, 62, of Swannanoa, died February 17, 2013 at Memorial Mission Hospital.

He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by two children, Jennifer and Karen Dills; a brother, Keith Dills; two sisters, Gayle and Laura Dills; and seven grandchildren, Joey Tommy, Casey, Ransom, Gypsy, Wesley, and Brittany.

A service will be held at Noon on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Western North Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Buncombe County Memorial Team.
