Gail Lorraine Craig, 65, of Hendersonville, NC died Sunday, August 27, 2020 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock after courageously battling cancer for the past 6 months.

A native of Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Lorraine McCurry.  Gail received her Bachelor of Science from the University of TN Chattanooga and retired as a bookkeeper from Roto Rooter before moving to Asheville and later, Hendersonville.  She loved to travel, especially RV’ing and loved all animals, especially her “babies,” Mongo and Purdy.  She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Asheville.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, Larry Craig; brother, Jack “Buddy” McCurry and wife, Tonia; nephews, Clay and Wes McCurry; and many dear friends in Chattanooga, TN and at Trinity Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Alice McCurry and sister, Diane Stewart.

A memorial service will be held 2 PM, Sunday, September 6, 2020 at Trinity Baptist Church, 216 Shelburne Road, Asheville, NC with Dr. Ralph H. Sexton and Rev. Allen Rash officiating.

She will be forever missed by her loving and devoted husband, family and many dear friends.
