Frank J. Goodhue, 78, of Hendersonville, NC, died Monday morning, September 7, 2009 at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.
He was born in Kansas City, MO, and lived in many different areas before moving to Hendersonville in 1994.
After retiring from the US Air Force, he worked for the San Diego School District as a bus driver for handicapped children. He was a wonderful dad and grandpa and a most selfless man.
He is survived by his loving family, three daughters, Tara Cox, Sheila Goodhue, and Christie Goodhue; and two granddaughters, Danielle Goodhue and Tarin Goodhue.
A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Friday, September 11, 2009 in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. Father Nick Mormando will officiate. Military Honors will be conducted by Hubert M. Smith American Legion Post 77, Hedrick-Rhodes Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5206, and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 14.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an organization of the donorís choice to assist handicapped children.
