Eleanor Wakefield Biggs, 79, of Hendersonville, passed away after a long illness on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Autumn Care of Saluda.

Eleanor was born in Asheville, NC on Friday, January 19, 1940.  She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ethel (McMahan) Wakefield.  She graduated from Lee Edwards High school (Asheville High School), then attended Blanton’s Business College.  Eleanor retired from Eaton Manufacturing, after 20 years, and worked in quality control.  She was known as being an expert in both Microsoft Word and typing.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Joseph Biggs, who will dearly miss her.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
