Dustyn “Chay” Scott, 35, of Hendersonville went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 16, 2019.

Chay is survived by his parents, Lynn Case-Scott and Herschel Jones of Hendersonville, and Ray and Tracy Scott of Leicester;  his children, Regan Chanin Owen and Silas Ryker Scott; sister, C. Brynn Scott Francis and Michael Francis Jr.; half-sister, Maecy Scott; step-sister, Kayleigh Graham Parsons and step-brother, Brandon “Luke” Hensley; grandparents, Randall and Mary Case; uncles, Thomas Edward “Eddie” Case and wife Patricia “Trish” Case and  William Samuel “Sam” Case; Aunt Debbie and George Derbyshire of Raleigh and Brandon Scott of Hendersonville; nephews, Ashton Albertson and Dominic Smith. Also survived by many great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins.

Chay was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin and Mae Scott and Aunt Kacey Cristina Case.

He attended West Henderson High School, Wayne Community College, and Cleveland Community College.  He enjoyed driving his car with the windows down while listening to music, mountain biking, snowboarding, playing his guitar and singing, fishing in our local rivers, and operating radio-controlled cars.

Chay’s greatest love and passion in life, however, were his children, Regan and Silas. Chay was a wonderful father in every way.  He was kind-hearted and compassionate and loved deeply and honestly.

A celebration of life for Chay will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 22nd at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel at 538 Tracy Grove Road, Hendersonville, NC.
