Doris Nicholson Case, 85, of Hendersonville NC died peacefully on March 12, 2022.

 

Doris was born on April 11, 1936, in Greenville SC to the late Harold Nicholson Sr. and Hazel Neal Nicholson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years Reuben Daniel “Bud” Case, brother Harold Nicholson Jr. and Stepmother Sue Nicholson.

 

Doris was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hendersonville.

 

She is survived by her children (and their spouse), Kelly Case (Bob), Bret Case (Sonya), Terri Miller and Daniel Case (Francesca). She has six grandchildren, Casey Robertson (Kyle), Somer Ashe (Josh), Joshua Miller (Jill), Hunter Case (Chelsea), Shelly Miller and Caroline Case. She has eleven great-grandchildren, Carson Robertson, Kylie Robertson, Alex Ashe, Mary Kathryn Miller, Peyton Ashe, Bradlee Case, Hattie Grace Miller, Brody Case, Paul Joshua Miller, Brent Case and Thomas Matthew Miller. And a special cousin, Anne Nicholson Braswell of Greenville, SC.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Zoe Empowers in care of  First United Methodist Church, 204 6th Ave W Hendersonville, NC  28739.

 

The family would like to thank Dr. Randy Tryon and Four Seasons Hospice for the wonderful care and love their Mother received.
