David “Dave” Lee Ralya, also known as “Batcave Dave”, 66, of Bat Cave, NC passed away July 7, 2020 at his home.
A native of Grand Haven, MI, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Ralya and Edith Rosema Ralya.
Dave had prior residences in Grand Haven, MI, Zeeland, MI, and Tampa, FL before moving to Bat Cave seven years ago. He had a BA degree in Business Administration & Marketing and retired from construction.
Dave was a member of the Misfit family at Freedom Biker Church Foothills for ten years. He was also a member of Blue Ridge Biker Church. Dave was an avid motorcyclist and was a member of Patriot Guard Riders. He loved to hike, loved dogs, loved music, and loved swimming, especially Lake Michigan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Teresa Ralya; two daughters, Christy Carrow and her husband Phil and Lindsey Herrmann and her husband Steve; two sons, Mark Ralya and his wife Carrie and Matt Ralya and his wife Betsy; a step-son, Albert Medina; nine grandchildren, Chase Ralya, Elijah Ralya, Caleb Ralya, Josiah Ralya, Jetson Herrmann, Madeline Herrmann, Weston Herrmann, Elliana Ralya, and Collette Ralya; a sister, Kathy Newhof and her husband Dave; two brothers, Tom Ralya and his wife Sandy and Dan Ralya and his wife Laurel; his first wife of 27 years, Mary Danhoff Ralya; and nine nieces and five nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30am on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Holly Springs Baptist Church, 7265 Crab Creek Road, Penrose, NC 28766.

I grew up with Dave in Grand Haven and attended the Christian School and graduated 9th grade together. My condolences to his family.
