Daniel A. Yarborough, Jr. passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at Aston Park Rehabilitation Center in Asheville.
He was born February 4, 1933 in Clinton, SC. He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel A. Yarborough, Sr. and Vivian Turner Yarborough. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Sara Elizabeth of 65 years – they were childhood sweethearts.
Daniel is survived by his three children, Hugh Yarborough (Terri) of Etowah, Jenny Hicks of Hendersonville, and Cynthia Yarborough of Sunset Beach; three grandchildren, Jeremy Hicks (Cathleen) of Concord, Daniel Hicks (Amanda) of Greensboro, Jessica Reagan (Drew) of Candler; and four great-grandchildren, Tyler and Jackson Hicks of Concord and Kinlee and Saylor Reagan of Candler. He was a beloved, caring father and grandfather, who cherished his family. He left a wonderful legacy of love with his family.
Daniel retired from General Electric in Hendersonville. An avid golfer, Dan loved spending time on the course and watching his beloved Clemson Tigers play football. He graduated from Clemson in 1959 with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
There will be a private memorial service.

My prayers for peace and comfort for your family. I truly know what a huge part of your lives Dan filled. He taught me much over the years, I will miss him so and he was always a remarkable, loyal friend to Larry. Thank you for sharing him with us.
