Cole Dexter Moran, 24, of Hendersonville, NC, died Friday, July 4, 2008.
Born in Jefferson County, NY, he was the son of Richard John Moran and Debra Olin Moran, both of Hendersonville.
He had resided in Hendersonville for 13 years and was a graduate of West Henderson High School. He attended the First Baptist Church of Hendersonville and had a strong faith in God.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Kristel M. Nelson of Hendersonville; a niece and nephew, Kayla Rose Moran and Hunter Jamie Nelson, both of Hendersonville; his girlfriend, Allison Riddle, with whom he found love; and several aunts and uncles.
Cole will be remembered for his love of family, his devotion to friends, and his artistry with cooking. He loved camping, hiking, and the outdoors. He was proud of his Celtic heritage. He loved his country and was planning to serve with the Marines. He was a kind and generous soul, and he will be missed.
A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Friday, July 11, 2008 in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. The Reverends Mark Neville and Bobi Extine will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the CONNECTIONS Program at Four Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, 571 S. Allen Rd., Flat Rock, NC 28731.
