Christa Hoegger, of Hendersonville, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014. She was a native of Greenlawn, NY and a resident of Henderson County for 17 years. Mrs. Hoegger was the daughter of Henry and Karla Classen and was also preceded in death by her brother Peter Classen and his wife Louise. She graduated as a Registered Nurse from New York Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, worked at Huntington Hospital for 12 years and at Etowah Methodist Preschool for 5 years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, and was in the choir and many other groups at church.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, April 12 at Grace Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends following the service.

Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Otto Hoegger; daughters, Barbara Ivey and husband Randal, Diane Langan and husband Eric; grandchildren, Emma and Jack Langan; brother, Walter Classen and wife Elaine; and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Randy Tryon, Dr. Amal Das, the staff at Pardee Pavilion, Spring Arbor Cottage of Hendersonville, and Four Seasons Hospice.
