Carolyn Schumacher, 90 of Horse Shoe, died Tuesday, August 03, 2021 at Pardee hospital.
She was born in New York City, a daughter of the late Arthur Schumacher and Frances Corr Schumacher. She was a graduate of Fordham University and moved to California where she worked for and later retired from AT&T, formerly Pacific Bell after over 25 years. She moved to Henderson County in 1998. She was of the Catholic faith and had been attending Mills River United Methodist Church.
Carolyn was kind, loving, and such a wonderful person. She loved Jeopardy (she could have been a contestant on the show as she was that good) and she loved crossword and other puzzles. She loved to travel and try new foods along the way. She was a huge San Francisco Giants fan. After moving to the South she also became a NASCAR fan!
She was preceded in death by her niece Carol White and a great-great-nephew Kyler White.
Surviving is her sister Marguerite Beneteau of Horse Shoe; a niece Susan Farina of Horse Shoe; a nephew William “Bill” Farina of Hendersonville; two great-nieces Laurie Hix and Kaitlyn Farina; and a great-nephew Matthew White.
At Carolyn’s request, no services are planned.
