Carol McAdams, 76, of Hendersonville passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021, at The Elizabeth House following several years of declining health. Carol was born in Berwyn, Illinois to the late Marguerite Leonard McAdams and William Lyon McAdams; she was also predeceased by her beloved grandparents, Lowell A. and Margaret McDougal Leonard; great-grandmother, Laura Gray McDougal; and a niece, Cheryl Lynn McAdams.
In 1954, Carol and her family moved to Hendersonville, NC to join her grandparents and great-grandmother. She attended Rosa Edwards Elementary School, Hendersonville High School. In 1964, she graduated from Woman’s College of Greensboro, NC from the Commercial Department. Carol retired from Margaret R. Pardee Memorial Hospital after serving for forty-three years in the accounting department.
Survivors are her sister, Jeanne McAdams, and her cat William Brewster McAdams, Esquire, of Hendersonville, NC; her brother William (Bill) Leonard McAdams and his wife, Pamela Goforth McAdams, and her nephew Christopher Brian McAdams, all of Roanoke, VA.
At Carol’s request, no formal services have been planned, but memorial donations can be made to the Blue Ridge Humane Society, 100-B Chadwick Square Court, Hendersonville, NC 28739, or Four Seasons Foundation, 211 N. Main St., Hendersonville, NC 28792.
