Gifts & Memorial Donations

Carol L. Kellogg,79, of Flat Rock, NC passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Carol grew up in Grayslake, IL.  After marriage, she and her husband lived in Chicago, Greensboro, NC, Atlanta, Westlake Village, CA, Palatine, IL and finally found retirement at Kenmure in Flat Rock, where they’ve lived since 1998.  Carol was an accomplished pianist, avid quilter, artist and golfer, full of life, and always laughing or smiling.  She was, in all ways, beautiful.

Carol was a loving stay-at-home mom to her children until her youngest went off to college.  She then began working as the onsite coordinator for Greg Norman’s Shark Shootout, and subsequently, for Tiger Wood’s World Challenge, both golf tournaments held near her home in California.  She loved her work and had so much fun with it she would have done it for free.  Her warm smile, enthusiasm and wit will be missed by all who knew her.

She leaves behind her husband, Claude after 56 years of marriage; her three children, Michael (RoJan) of Diamond Bar, CA, Steven (Kathleen) of Belmont, NC and Jennifer Rivkin (Don) of Parker, CO; and seven perfect grandchildren.

Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Carolina Reserve of Hendersonville and Kingsbridge House in Brevard, for the compassionate care and love Carol was given during her last few years.

A streamed memorial service will be held for Carol on Saturday, February 27, 2021.
