Billy Greer, 85, of Hendersonville went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 26, 2017 at his residence. A native of Spindale, he was the son of the late Claude and Mary Bell Laughter Greer. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Cathy Greer Stewart. He had resided in Henderson County for the majority of his life and has been a longtime member of the Mason Lodge.
Billy had work at Youngblood Truck Lines, Mac’s Auto Supply and Church Street Exxon, prior to retirement. Billy enjoyed fishing, working in his yard and he loved spending time with his family. He proudly served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict Era and led his tank division during his time in the service.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Betty Greer and grandson, Chris Moore.

A small man with a Huge Heart. He was the first to step up when my family was in need. He took me to see the ocean for the first time. He Betty and Cathy always included me so I could be included in fun things!! I love and thank you.
