Betty Jane (Tumlinson) Haas

Betty Jane (Tumlinson) Haas, 95, of Hendersonville, passed away on March 4, 2020, at Mission Hospital.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Lynn (Haas) Brauer and husband Marvin Brauer, son Richard Haas, granddaughter Cassandra Brauer Krause and husband Reed Krause, granddaughter Sashenka Jessica Brauer and husband Alvaro Chauca, and great-grandson Connor Muir Krause.

Betty attended Walla Wall College, Glendale School of nursing, Columbia Union College, and Loma Linda School of Public Health.  She received her degree in Nursing Education and a master’s degree of Public Health.  She married Richard Warren Haas in 1957 and they were married for 60 years prior to his death.  They served as a pastoral couple for 26 years in Minneapolis, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.  They served as missionaries at Bella Vista Hospital in Puerto Rico.  She was a registered nurse and worked in nursing and public health education for many years.

She is remembered by her family for her indomitable spirit, zest for life, her love, and passion for Jesus and as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She will be missed so very much.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
