Betty Creasman Bryson, 88 of Mills River went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 25, 2012. Born in Buncombe County, she lived most of her life in Henderson County. She was a daughter of the late William G. Creasman and Lura Meredith Creasman.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Wade Bryson in 1994; a son Frank Bryson; a daughter Lura Sue Price; a sister Bertha McMahan; and a brother Elbert Wayne Creasman.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Pardee Hospital, Carolina Village, VHP, and worked as a Private Duty CNA. She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are her children Kenneth Wade ìButchî Bryson and wife Udell of Mills River, William Ray Bryson and wife Janice of Mills River, Edgar Dale Bryson and wife Betty of Hendersonville, Pricilla Ruth Duncan of Mills River, and Clyde Sidney Bryson and wife Melissa of Mills River; eleven Grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, December 28 at Mills River Baptist Church. Rev. Thomas Glenn will officiate. Burial will follow in Shepherd Memorial Park. Her grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the church.
