Annette Marie Beavers, 98, of Henderson County, NC and formerly of Washington, DC, died after a brief illness late Wednesday morning, December 11, 2019 at the Life Care Center of Hendersonville in Hendersonville, NC.
Mrs. Beavers was born on Monday, April 4, 1921 in the family home in Hendersonville, NC to the late Joseph Henry and Ollie Isabel (Thompson) Howse.
She was a homemaker and loving, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was a faithful and devoted member of Mud Creek Baptist Church most of her life.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Anna Mae Thomas and her husband Albert “Gwynn.” Also surviving are her 5 grandsons, Joseph A. Thomas and his wife, Trisha, John E. Thomas, Paul E. Thomas and his wife, Khaoula, Timothy R. Thomas and his wife, Amy and James W. Thomas and his wife, Jennifer; 11 great-grandchildren, Serena, Krista, Kayla, Timothy, Matthew, Austin, Hailey, Landon, Zachary, Bentley and Grayson; sister Vera M. Hill of Flat Rock, NC and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her loving husband of 38 years, Wilson Marye Beavers who died July 8, 2003 and her parents she is preceded in death by her 2 brothers, Arthur and Harry Howse and 2 sisters, Wanda Carter and Polly Waters.
A funeral to celebrate Mrs. Beaver’s life will be held at eleven o’clock Saturday morning, December 21, 2019 at Mud Creek Baptist Church, 403 Rutledge Drive, Hendersonville, NC 28739 with the Rev. David A. Stanford officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Wilson M. Beavers in the historic Oakdale City Cemetery in Hendersonville, NC.
Memorial contributions may be offered on behalf of Mrs. Beavers to the Mud Creek Baptist Church Debt Retirement Fund or the charity of the donor’s choice.
Annette will be forever missed by her loving and devoted family and many dear friends.
