Alvin Ernest Cobb of Hendersonville passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013.
A native of Largo, Florida, he was the son of the late Charles Ernest Cobb and Mary E. Cobb. He served in the U.S. Army with assignments in Korea and Japan and received a B.S. degree from the University of Florida and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Health (M.S.E.H.) from East Tennessee State University. He retired as Assistant Director of Environmental Health for Pinellas County in St. Petersburg, Florida after 24 years of employment.
Surviving are his wife, Sue F. Cobb; a son, Bruce Alvin Cobb; two daughters, Susan Cobb Singleton and Lisa Ellen Cobb; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, October 11, 2013 at Grace Lutheran Church in Hendersonville.
