Alfred ìZanderî Heatherly , 44, of Hendersonville went to be with the Lord Friday, May 30, 2014 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was a son of the late G.L. and Mildred Heatherly. He worked with the Henderson County Public School System for fourteen years. Zander was a member of Barnwell Baptist Church. He was a lay preacher and loved to work on old cars. He also loved to hunt and fish.

Survivors include his loving wife of twenty-three years, Teresa Justice Heatherly; a daughter, Monica Heatherly, and a son , Aaron Heatherly both of the home; two brothers, Rev. William Heatherly and his wife Janet of Liberty, SC, Logan Heatherly and his wife Jamie of Hendersonville; brother-in-law, Rodney Justice and his wife Sherry of Hendersonville; sister-in-law, Rhonda Carreno and her husband Darrell of Hendersonville; mother and father in-law, Larry A. and Doris Justice of Hendersonville; and a number of aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Mountain home Baptist Church with Revs. William Heatherly and Stanly Adcock officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service in the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations to assist with the funeral expenses may be made to Teresa Heatherly, 56 Claude Justice Lane, Hendersonville, NC 28792.
