Biography
Virginia Owensby, 88, died peacefully at home on March 8th. She was a much loved mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 50 years, Ravenel Owensby; her parents, Ernest and Jesse Sorrells; her sister, Maxine, and brothers, Bob, Ray and Jay.
Surviving to carry on her memory are her children, George, Karen and Richard; her daughter-in-law, Shara; and grandchildren, Kelly, Jessi, Allen, Hannah, Dylan and Clare; and her sister, Betty Joyce and brothers, Albert, Eugene, Morris and Jack.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, March 13th at Bearwallow Cemetery in Gerton.
The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to a local food pantry.
