Rev. Tollie Freeman Cunningham

April 7, 1929 - June 10, 2018

Reverend Tollie Freeman Cunningham, 89, of Hendersonville was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 10, 2018.

A native of western TN, he was a son of the late Erdies and Pauline King Cunningham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bennett and Bobby Cunningham.

Tollie followed the Lord’s calling and served in the ministry in TN, OH, VA and NC for 55 years. He had a loving heart and genuine care for people. He was dearly loved and will be truly missed by his family and friends.

He leaves behind his wife of 72 years, Dolores Brown Cunningham; daughter, Debbie Cunningham Shehan (Ronnie); grandchildren, Chris Stewart (Melissa) and Amy Hudgins (Bryan); step-grandchildren, Rodney Shehan and Lisa Parham (Clay); five great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; and many dear friends and other relatives. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of Life Care Center of Hendersonville for the compassionate care they provided and for becoming like extended family members during Tollie’s residence there.
