Louise Young Taylor, 86, of Hendersonville, passed away Sunday, October 29, at her home. Born in Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Forest H. and Kate C. Young and wife of the late James V. Taylor who died in 2008. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Fred Young.
She was a member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church and was a member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Hedrick-Rhodes VFW Post 5206. She also was state president and had served for two years on the VFW National Council of Administration.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by two sons, Kevin Taylor and his wife Brenda, and Keith Taylor and his wife Kieu; two grandsons, Matthew and Kyle Taylor; a brother, Forest Young and his wife Joan; a sister in-law, Joy Young; a number of nieces and nephews; and her dear friend and companion, Ronald L. Michael.
The family will receive guests from 1 – 2 PM Wednesday, November First at Hendersonville First Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 2 PM. Rev. Wally Shamburger will officiate. Burial will take place at Shepherd Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731, or to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 312 Fifth Ave. West, Hendersonville, NC 28739.
