Jo Anne Pulliam Harper, 58, of Flat Rock went home to be with the Lord Thursday, May 4, 2017 at her home.

 Born in Norfolk, VA, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Lillie Trout Pulliam.  Jo Anne was raised in Tampa, FL and met her husband in Houston, TX.  She had resided in Hendersonville since 1987. 

 Jo Anne worked at Cranston Print Works as a shipping clerk before retiring as clerk from the Justice Academy in 2001.

 A devoted Christian, she was a member of East Flat Rock United Methodist Church.  Jo Anne loved animals and was an avid reader of romance novels.  She was a great mom and an amazing grandmother who never complained.

 She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Walter Harper; children, Suzanne Hall and husband, Tom, of Houston, TX, Tammey Harper of Marion, NC and Tommy Harper and wife, Ashley, of East Flat Rock; grandchildren, Jo Leigh and Matthew Hall, Aiden Harper and Rose MacPherson, and Gavin, Grayson and Gabriel Harper; her aunt, Lorraine Johnson of Snow Camp, NC; and her puppies, Rosa Gayle, Chloe and Laney.
