Gifts & Memorial Donations

Holsey B. Littlejohn, 77, of Hendersonville went to be with his heavenly Father on Thursday, September 28, 2017.

A lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was a son of the late Richard and Odie L. Mills Littlejohn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Frances, Novella, and Beulah and brothers, Marvin, James “Booky” and Hugh Mack “John”.

Holsey was drafted into the Army during Vietnam and was stationed in Germany. Following his service, he worked many years at Berkeley Mills-Kimberly-Clark Corp. before retiring. Even after retirement, he kept busy doing handywork for people, especially plumbing, electrical, carpentry and landscaping. He loved to bowl and was a member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory: sisters, Ruth Montgomery of Edneyville; Emma Jane Baker of Cleveland, OH, and Nancy McKenzie of Hendersonville; nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held at 3 PM Tuesday, October 3 in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. Reverend T. Richard Pea will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blue Ridge Baptist Church on St. Pauls Road, Hendersonville, NC 28792.
