Dwayne Caison

November 23, 1982 - August 13, 2016

Dwayne Caison, 33, of Penrose, received the ultimate healing at his home on Saturday, August 13, 2016, following a nearly three year battle with esophageal cancer. A native of Candler, he was a son of Michael and Sharon (King) Caison of Canton. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Vernon and Dorothy King and Diane Reeves. He had worked for AVL Technologies in Asheville until illness forced his retirement. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, amateur marksman, a member and youth pastor of Family of Faith Fellowship in Arden. A wonderful son, husband and father, Dwayne is survived, in addition to his parents, by his wife of 13 years, Kristin Caison; daughter, Mackenzie Caison of the home; brother, David Caison and his wife Kristen of Asheville; two nephews, Isaiah and Daniel; his paternal grandfather, William “Red” Reeves and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 21, at Family of Faith Fellowship located at 213 Long Shoals Rd. Visitation will be from 12-1, memorial at 1 and a Celebration of Life cookout will immediately follow at the church property. Pastor James King will officiate. In lieu of flowers (because Kristin will kill them) memorial contributions may be made to further Mackenzie’s educational and dance opportunities by giving to the Mackenzie Benefit Donation Fund, care of any Wells Fargo branch or online through TMCFunding.com by clicking HERE
