Angela Pittillo Lancaster, 56, of Hendersonville, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Mission Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Murgel B. Pittillo and the late Marjorie D. Dellinger.

Angela was a native of Henderson County and employed at Edneyville Elementary School for over 27 years. During these years she formed many friendships and her co-workers became more like family. Angela, known as Granny, loved her grandson dearly and cherished her time with him. She also enjoyed playing Bingo as well as going to yard sales.

Survivors include her loving husband of 39 years, Don Lancaster; two daughters, April Bove and husband Andrew, Amy Lancaster both of Charlotte; one son, Jason Lancaster of Hendersonville; one grandson, Jaxon Lancaster; two sisters, Teresa Weaver and husband Seth, Loretta Drake and husband Jimmy both of Hendersonville; one brother, Gary Pittillo and wife Charity of Zirconia; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Fruitland Baptist Church with the Reverends Steve Jones and Mike Smith officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
